Will Hornyak -- PST's Solo Performance Festival, Singlehandedly

Will Hornyak

From Chinese fables and Native American myths to Mexican folk tales, Russian fairytales and original material, Will Hornyak performs throughout the Northwest and beyond. He teaches storytelling in professional communication at Marylhurst University and was named Artist of the Year by Young Audiences of Oregon in 2004. Will is excited to be performing in PST's Solo Performance Festival, Singlehandedly!

Tales from Peru: Carlos Alvarez, Local Hero. Carlos Alvarez of Lima, Peru is one of the people Will Hornyak respects most in this world. Carlos has worked in Lima's prisons for 30 years among the country's most brutalized and forgotten populations. And he is also the kind of person a storyteller most admires: a character to whom amazing things just seem to happen. This is a story about Carlos, about a friendship and about a dark and difficult time in Peru's recent past. Catch Will on Friday April 30th.
