Polar Opposites
created and performed by Lawrence Howard

Polar Opposites by Lawrence Howard Polar Opposites: Amundsen, Scott, And The Race For The Pole recounts heroic and tragic events in Antarctica one hundred years ago. Scott and his four companions fought their way to the Pole only to find the Norwegian flag flying there: Amundsen had beaten him by five weeks. Crushed by disappointment, utterly exhausted and short on food and fuel, Scott and his companions froze and starved to death on the return journey, just eleven miles from a huge cache of provisions and supplies. Lawrence's performance captured before a live Portland Story Theater audience was recorded and engineered by Josh Ellyson of Living Room Records. This double CD set is on sale for $18 ($16 + $2 postage and handling). If you'd like to order a copy, send Lawrence Howard a check or money order for $18 to our mailing address 3333 NE 15th Avenue, Portland, Oregon, 97212.

Dark Matter
created and performed by Lynne Duddy

dark matter Lynne Duddy's solo show, dark matter, is also available on CD.
Part science, part mystery, part cosmic joke, dark matter is a collection of stories that explores the push and pull of the universe as a metaphor for the human experience. The science of dark matter frames these true stories about uncanny experiences, surprising discoveries, and finding out things that had been hidden in the dark for a long, long time. The Oregonian called Lynne's performance "raw, revealing and vulnerable." You can buy this CD for just $12 ($10 + $2 postage and handling) directly from Lynne by making your checks out to Lynne Duddy, and sending them to 3333 NE 15th Avenue, Portland, Oregon, 97212.
