Sharon Knorr

Starting at age 10 as the street sweeper in "The Clown That Ran Away" at Portland Civic Theatre School, Sharon Knorr by now has performed for many years in Los Angeles and Portland as an on-stage actress, on-camera talent and behind-the-camera producer.

She has worked for many Portland theatre companies … New Rose, Readers Theatre Rep., Triangle Productions, Cygnet Productions, Portland Civic Theatre, Lakewood Theatre Company and at Storefront as an original Portland cast member of the cult hit "Angry Housewives". Sharon is a cast member of another cult hit "Hot Flashes the Musical" that played to sold out houses for 6 years in Portland and toured Oregon and the west coast.

As a director, she has guided Scott Parker in two one man shows; Portland's beloved Female Impersonator Darcelle in a one man show based on the movie actor Divine and "The Mousetrap" for Skamania Performing Arts Foundation in Stevenson, Washington.

Last year, Sharon wrote, produced, directed and performed her one woman show "Why Can't I Marry the Cute Beatle" from which this solo festival piece has been taken. She is currently writing a one man show with Darcelle, Portland's beloved Drag Queen, called "Out of My Daddy's Closet" which will be on stage in June.
