This Summer enjoy THREE unique "Urban Tellers" showcases.
Each night features new storytellers sharing their original short stories. The stories are personal, taken from the tellers'
own lives and told in the oral tradition -- no scripts, no notes. These tellers have gone through Portland Story Theater's personal narrative
workshop series to learn how to discover, develop, craft and deliver their stories. Each night is a different show --- come to all 3!
Portland Story Theater events promote community and collaboration. Every show includes refreshments, creating a festive atmosphere. When you attend a Portland Story Theater show it's more than a theatrical performance, it is a community experience where you feel like family. And all you have to do to become part of our family is come to the show! Storytelling is simple, straightforward, unadorned. No set, no complex lighting plot, no period costumes, no soundtrack -- just the teller and the listeners, connecting. Very interactive. Human. Meaningful. Real.
